Clinical consensus on diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic exertional compartment syndrome of the leg: a Delphi analysis

Key Points

Defining universally accepted guidelines for the diag-nosis and treatment of chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS) of the leg is hampered by the absence of high-quality scientific research.

A comprehensive overview of current state-of-the-art opinions of a large group of professionals who are deeply involved in the daily care and treatment of CECS patients is provided.

Outcome of this Delphi analysis on CECS may serve as a platform to initiate simple guidelines for clinical practice.
