What to expect on the day...
Patients need to visit the centre 15 mins earlier than their appointment time to fill out relevant pain questionnaires and details.
The initial appointment will be between 30 minutes and 45 minutes depending on the complexity of the condition. This involves taking a history of your pain and asking you questions about work, family, your psychological history, and so on. This is so your pain physiotherapist can better understand you and the impact of your pain.
After the assessments are complete we will develop a comprehensive management plan. The assessment findings and management plans will be discussed with your pain specialists during the face to face case conference if you are referred by a medical specialist.
